Wellington-based artist Christina Pataialii is the 2019 recipient of the Rydal Art Prize which is a major contemporary painting prize administered by the Tauranga Art Gallery Toi Tauranga.
Pataialii’s painting practice isn’t limited to the canvas but can merge from canvas, on to the walls, occupying space as is needed.
She will be creating a large scale installation in the gallery’s atrium.
