‘FIGURE IT OUT WITH ART’
Learning to love math and science through art.
In this series of ten lessons, children will touch on certain mathematical principles through the medium of art with Louise Hediger Minette Soekoe.
The aim is to engage with mathematics in a relaxed, non-threatening and creative way.
The children will work on math concepts such as addition, subtraction, fractions and repeat patterns, while at the same time focusing on principles of design such as shape, form, texture and composition.
After every lesson each student will take home a worksheet explaining what they learned as well as their finished art.
Louise and Minette are two qualified teachers that aim to explain math & science concepts through art to young children.
Recommended ages 7- 9
The 10 week series begins on 26th April (Term 2).
Time: 4-5pm
Location: The Creative Campus – The Historic Village Tauranga
Cost: $225 per child for the 10 week series.
