Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub
This is an inspiring and productive course for all levels of experience; a fun time in a relaxed and creative environment. This course will be based on traditional painting techniques with some contemporary approaches applied to the genre. As well as covering a lot of ground, the focus will also be on developing a solid understanding of colour theory, tonal relationships, proportion, and composition, and then progressing these ideas to develop believable 3D forms on a 2D surface.
Damien has a Master of Fine Arts, Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Otago Polytechnic. He is passionate about art in general, with a focus on painting and drawing. He has designed these courses to demystify the process behind painting and to show individuals an approach to quickly start to enjoy a wonderful painting medium.
