The Tauranga Big Band is always a festival family favourite – a vibrant, large ensemble of the Bay of Plenty’s best musicians who love to bring jazz to life.
This year in a special concert they showcase some of New Zealand’s most innovative composers – from the funky feel of Oscar Lavën, the wonderfully crafted works of Wayne Senior, the hard-hitting grooves of Lauren Ellis, and the smooth sounds of Ryan Brake. A perfect opportunity to experience some of the best jazz and original music New Zealand has to offer as well as hear the amazing talent in our own backyard!
