Presented by: Te Tuhi Mareikura Trust
Te Tauranga Toi is a not-for-profit, online Marketplace (a gallery) which has been designed to bring our community of Māori artists together to share their toi, kaupapa, and identity with an online audience – and it’s launching soon.
It’s championed by Te Tuhi Mareikura Trust (TMT), a charitable trust that supports rangatahi (youth) and kaitoi (artists) in Tauranga Moana. Te Tauranga Toi is part of a wider digital initiative created by Bank of New Zealand and website company Zeald.
A hui for artists will be held on Monday 3rd of April, 5.30-8pm at the Tauranga Art Gallery.
The event will be hosted by TMT, with esteemed guest speaker Sonya Korohina, the newly-appointed Director of the Tauranga Art Gallery.
The hui will also launch nominations for TMT’s annual Ngā Tohu Toi 2023 awards night, held later this year.
Over kai, TMT will share more information about the Te Tauranga Toi (TTT) marketplace, the technology, vision, and how artists can become part of Te Tauranga Toi.
Fill in the form to register your interest for the Māori Artist Hui and we will also keep you in the loop with progress on the project.
