Presented by: The Artery – Art Learning Space
This fantastic one day class runs from 10.30 am – 4.30 pm, now in Tauranga!
It is ideal for beginners or those with limited experience, but experienced students are also welcome!
Students will practice making simple textured or polished rings in either copper or brass. Then move on to making one or more silver rings from start to finish. They will learn measuring, texturing, soldering and finishing techniques to make beautiful, wearable rings!
Students can create simple textured, stamped or polished rings in flat metal or add stacking rings in wire and bar. More experienced students may wish to make a wider ring or a series of rings, perhaps in a tapered form or including finer details and finishing.
This is a one-day class that provides a fun experience with a great result or excellent grounding in basic jewellery techniques for those wanting to pick up the activity.
Extra materials are available to purchase in the workshop if time allows for you to make more rings. As this is only a one-day class, we will be providing a set range of widths for your ring bands to make the project enjoyable and achievable.
Kids aged 12 and up (or so) are welcome to attend the class, but an enrolled parent or caregiver must accompany any person under 16.
