Basics of Alcohol Inks with Marion Aitkens
This full day course will teach you the basics of alcohol ink abstract painting, plus how to paint pots and use the inks to paint animals and birds. Students will also learn how to use the alcohol inks on other objects such as planters, canisters, infusers. Each student will have a choice of two other items to decorate and take home.
Alcohol ink is a fascinating medium that literally has a mind of its own. This class is designed particularly for beginners who have never used alcohol inks before. The inks have a versatility and vibrancy that when blended with pure isopropyl alcohol, create movement and beautiful abstract designs. With the addition of gold enhancements these make visually attractive pieces of art even for beginners.
