A modern window into the life, times and music of the musical legend Nat King Cole.
Long-time music educator and Tauranga Big Band Director Murray Mason has teamed up with Tauranga Director Merv Beets and 16th Ave Theatre to present a warm and intimate narrated concert that will transport you to a 1960’s American Jazz Club.
A program of Cole’s most famous songs stylistically spanning six decades will be delivered by Michelle Coombe, Matilda Vahey-Bourne, Anna Sherrer and Barry Spedding.
Backing will be provided by some of the BOP’s top jazz musicians.
