This workshop is now sold out.
Presented by: Creative Bay of Plenty
As an artist, do you struggle to describe yourself succinctly or to hit the right price point for your work?
Creative Bay of Plenty is facilitating a half day workshop that will:
– Provide you with the tools to understand how to explain and contextualise your work practice; and
– Introduce you to terminology and established methods of cost pricing.
The workshop will be delivered by Liz Cooper, an independent curator and development manager for Design-Nation – a leader in future thinking for design and craft based in the UK. The workshop will be limited to 12 participants and aimed at those working in visual arts, craft/object, design and consultancy.
The format will include case studies and practical exercises, with participants developing their own draft artist statement and a sample cost-based price for an aspect of their work.
When: 9am-1pm, Wednesday 5 May
Where: The Kollective, 145 Seventeenth Ave, Tauranga
Cost: $35 per person
