DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nTHIS REGISTRATION WINDOW is open from July the 13th to Nov the 23rd THE EXHIBITION ITSELF OPENS – Sat 28th of November 2026 at 10m and is – a vibrant celebration of local creativity and diverse artistic voices. \nRegister your Entry: No later than Monday the 23rd of November\, 5pm. \nMaximum Registrations: Two art works per artist. No series/diptych/triptych. \nRegistration Fee$18 per artwork\, must be paid in advance or it will not be accepted into the show. \nRegistration Fee plus Canvas: $25 – (we have a limited number of 300x300mm canvasses available for purchase). \nTERMS & CONDITIONS: \nRegistration/Ticket Criteria: One work per registration /Ticket. If you wish to submit two artworks\, please fill out a separate registration/ticket form for each one. Please include your name and title of work on each form. \nSize: Artwork/sculpture must be 300x300mm (12×12 inches)  OUTER EDGE (includes any framing/stands). Yes they can be round! Larger/smaller sizes WILL NOT be accepted. \nCondition of Work: No flimsy hangers – Cheap unsafe hangers MUST be replaced by screw eyes or D-rings and string/wire AND work without hangers or with unsafe hangers will not be accepted. Sculptures must be stable\, free standing and be able to be displayed in a safe manner\, and all artworks must be in a finished/dry state ready to be hung on delivery. \nDelivery Criteria:  \nAll works must be delivered on the Monday 23rd\, Tuesday 24th\, Wednesday 25th of November ONLY – 10am to 5pm. \nEach artwork must have a swing tag attached with the Artist’s name and the title of the work. \nInsurance: We do not insure artwork and suggest that each artist insure their own artwork if they require insurance. \nReturns: If you post artwork to us we cannot return unsold artworks unless you supply an adequate pre-paid\, self-addressed bag or box. \nGeneral Terms and Conditions \nYou MUST make arrangements to pick up unsold and/or purchased art works on Sunday 20th December by arrangement or Monday 22nd December 10-3pm or make alternative arrangements before these dates by emailing exhibitions@theincubator.co.nz. Please note any artwork remaining uncollected 6 months past the end of the exhibition\, will be donated to charity. \nWe will NOT be accepting any work that has been submitted into any previous end of year fundraising group show (ie 116 or 117 etc). \nThis exhibition is our fundraiser to continue to deliver great community exhibitions in 2026.  Artists may choose to make a donation to the People’s Gallery Community Exhibition Programme. DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Envirohub\nCarlton Gallery is proud to host the finalist exhibition for Climate Canvas\, an art competition run by Envirohub BOP as part of the Climate Action Festival. \nThis year’s theme\, Precious Resources\, invited artists from Tauranga\, the Western Bay of Plenty\, and Rotorua to explore what we often take for granted\, from water\, soil\, and air to the fabric we wear and throw away. The theme also celebrates resources that don’t always get noticed: community\, time\, biodiversity\, and the knowledge passed down through generations\, including mātauranga Māori and kaitiakitanga. \nTen finalists were selected from entries across the region\, working in 2D and 3D on canvas or board. Their work was first shown at The Cargo Shed in Tauranga\, where the community voted for their favourite piece in the People’s Choice award\, alongside judged prizes for first\, second\, and third place. \nNow it’s Katikati’s turn. From 05 October\, Carlton Gallery will host the finalists’ work for four weeks\, giving locals and visitors the chance to see this year’s Climate Canvas entries up close. \n“Art is such a great way to express things that words can’t do alone\,” says Te Ara Dirkse\, Envirohub BOP Project Coordinator. “I started this competition to give people space to really voice how they feel about climate change. The session will be hosted by long standing Incubator collaborator and talented artist\, Damien Kurth. He will be there to offer demonstrations\, support\, hints\, challenges and feedback for those who want it. \nWe will provide basic drawing supplies and a live model. Bring a mate\, your favourite drawing materials and refreshments. See ya there! \n*Out for respect for the model and the life drawing process\, this is a closed workshop. Please arrive with time to settle in before the workshop begins and doors close at 6pm. \nA word from the The Incubator: We are always striving to try make art opportunities more affordable and accessible for the community. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Niue Language Week and explore the rich traditions\, stories\, patterns\, and cultural meanings behind hiapo. \nIn this interactive workshop Iata explores the unique motifs and imagery of hiapo\, (bark cloth of Niue.) Each participant will learn the historical context of this practice\, the social impact of hiapo and the rapid decline and use due to the arrival and influence of the Europeans.\n \nParticipants will learn the symbolic representations of up to 40 different designs and be able to hand draw their own ‘hiapo inspired’ creation onto a hiapo piece provided by the workshop. \nIata Peautolu is a contemporary Moana artisan who is a practitioner of tātatau Niue\, tāmoko\, painting\, illustration\, fashion design and graphic design. He draws his creativity from his urban upbringing in Hamilton and the art culture that continues to evolve in this modern world. \nRegister now to secure your spot. DESCRIPTION:A Tauranga Fringe Festival Show\nA feature attraction of the Tauranga Fringe Festival WORN is a celebration of adornment\, jewellery\, fashion objects and the beautiful unexpected contemporary wearable art. \nWe have artists\, makers\, designers and creative provocateurs who have transformed a simple black oil drum into a captivating miniature exhibition.   \n \nThink beyond traditional jewellery.  These creatives have channelled their inner Vivienne Westwood. Embraced brutalist industrial aesthetics and explored salvaged treasures and upcycled materials. \nThe results are refined and precious\, raw and experimental.  Some are sustainably driven or gloriously extravagant.  WORN invites bold ideas and imaginative presentation. \n \nEach artist has curated a selection of suspend works that are wearable art collections demonstrating creativity\, craftsmanship and a strong artistic vision.  Each cohesive collection of wearable works stands proudly as both art and adornment\, they create unexpected juxtapositions and transform each suspended drum into a miniature exhibition. \n \nFrom elegant contemporary jewellery to wearable sculpture\, body adornments and textile interventions\, WORN celebrates the rich diversity of wearable art practice.

Tentacled forms with too many eyes. Curious hybrids with fins\, claws\, or unexpected limbs. Creatures that might have escaped a laboratory\, drifted up from the ocean floor\, or landed from somewhere far beyond our sky.  \nThis is a celebration of the wonderfully weird\, the oddly beautiful\, and the utterly inventive. The makers have dreamed up truly imaginative creatures that stirs curiosity\, raises an eyebrow\, or lingers in the mind long after you’ve looked away.

Multiple guitar styles are underpinned by his left and right feet frantically pounding the kick and hi hat.
