DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nTHIS REGISTRATION WINDOW is open from July the 13th to Nov the 23rd THE EXHIBITION ITSELF OPENS – Sat 28th of November 2026 at 10m and is – a vibrant celebration of local creativity and diverse artistic voices. \nRegister your Entry: No later than Monday the 23rd of November\, 5pm. \nMaximum Registrations: Two art works per artist. No series/diptych/triptych. \nRegistration Fee$18 per artwork\, must be paid in advance or it will not be accepted into the show. \nRegistration Fee plus Canvas: $25 – (we have a limited number of 300x300mm canvasses available for purchase). \nTERMS & CONDITIONS: \nRegistration/Ticket Criteria: One work per registration /Ticket. If you wish to submit two artworks\, please fill out a separate registration/ticket form for each one. Please include your name and title of work on each form. \nSize: Artwork/sculpture must be 300x300mm (12×12 inches)  OUTER EDGE (includes any framing/stands). Yes they can be round! Larger/smaller sizes WILL NOT be accepted. \nCondition of Work: No flimsy hangers – Cheap unsafe hangers MUST be replaced by screw eyes or D-rings and string/wire AND work without hangers or with unsafe hangers will not be accepted. Sculptures must be stable\, free standing and be able to be displayed in a safe manner\, and all artworks must be in a finished/dry state ready to be hung on delivery. \nDelivery Criteria:  \nAll works must be delivered on the Monday 23rd\, Tuesday 24th\, Wednesday 25th of November ONLY – 10am to 5pm. \nEach artwork must have a swing tag attached with the Artist’s name and the title of the work. \nInsurance: We do not insure artwork and suggest that each artist insure their own artwork if they require insurance. \nReturns: If you post artwork to us we cannot return unsold artworks unless you supply an adequate pre-paid\, self-addressed bag or box. \nGeneral Terms and Conditions \nYou MUST make arrangements to pick up unsold and/or purchased art works on Sunday 20th December by arrangement or Monday 22nd December 10-3pm or make alternative arrangements before these dates by emailing exhibitions@theincubator.co.nz. Please note any artwork remaining uncollected 6 months past the end of the exhibition\, will be donated to charity. \nWe will NOT be accepting any work that has been submitted into any previous end of year fundraising group show (ie 116 or 117 etc). \nThis exhibition is our fundraiser to continue to deliver great community exhibitions in 2026.  Artists may choose to make a donation to the People’s Gallery Community Exhibition Programme. (You will be offered this option when you fill out your registration form/s) \nAll works will be priced to sell at $118 each and if sold you will receive this amount direct to the bank account that you supply when you fill out the registration form/s. Keep searching for all nine creatures:\nPāpā (gecko)\nPūtangitangi (paradise shelduck)\nPepe (pūriri moth)\nPiwakawaka (fantail)\nKārearea (NZ falcon)\nKatipō spider\nTāmure (snapper) Tipa (scallop)\nPāpaka (estuary crab)\nLook carefully on both sides of Grey Street\, including the city centre car park buildings. \nCheck the seats\, planters and shop windows – you never know where an animal might be hiding! DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nSTOP MARKING YOUR OWN HOMEWORK! \nIt’s time to unlock your creative noncritical voice. \nIntroducing the Feedback Lab 2026/27 monthly sessions. \nThe Feedback Lab invites artists of many different disciplines and levels to connect\, explore\, and share information ideas and processes in a relaxed non-judgemental environment. \nLead by Carol Bisset\, the Feedback Lab provides a safe place in which to share fresh perspectives on your own and other artists work. Throughout the year there will be a select group of guest speakers who will introduce us to their unique journeys as practising artists. \n“I’m really pleased to hear the Feedback Lab might be returning. \nWhat made it different for me was the intentional focus on constructive dialogue. It created a space where artists could share work and receive considered feedback from fresh perspectives. That process encouraged deeper reflection and brought valuable analytical insight into my own practice. I especially appreciated the opportunity to connect with other artists in Tauranga Moana in a meaningful way; not just socially\, but through critical and creative exchange. \nCarol is an outstanding facilitator. She creates a respectful\, responsive environment where people feel safe to speak honestly. Her ability to guide discussion while allowing space for diverse viewpoints is a real strength. \nThe super talented and hugely experienced Tauranga Artist Lynette Fisher will be discussing a range of topics including her five year role as Art Award Coordinator for the Molly Morpeth Canady competition. Mats\, blanket and eye pillows are provided for your comfort. \nAfter the tea ceremony and sound journey we will have a light supper\, tea creates a special kind of hunger and we will enjoy some Chinese treats. \nTea is more than just a beverage —it’s a practice and a way of life. We are in love with art and practice of tea\, and we are excited to share it with everyone. \nDuring the tea ceremony\, you can simply relax\, enjoy the rituals\, and savour the wonderful flavours of tea. \nThis practice also helps us slow down and be more aware of each moment\, allowing us to connect with ourselves and appreciate the hidden beauty within every cup of tea. \nThe sound journey will include chimes\, rattles\, crystal bowls\, gongs and drums. \nPlease be aware:  \n🏯 The ceremony starts on time\, so please aim to arrive 10 minutes early to park and take your spot. We can’t accommodate latecomers\, unfortunately. DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Ruth Holden | The Sound Temple\nCome and unplug from the world in nature and receive\, be nurtured and feel connected. \nThis is a two hour sacred fire ceremony and sound bath with cacao. These circles are held in the Sound Temple and on the land surrounding\, we gather round the fire for a powerful intention setting and connection and prepare the participants for a deep sound journey.  Each event is individually curated\, making best use of the opportunity to work intentionally in flow with the planetary alignments and realise the incredible potential that comes with the various phases of the moon. \nAfter the fire ceremony we enjoy a high quality locally sourced cacao\, Essence cacao is a sacred elixir from Samoa that enriches the experience by aiding in expanding the heart chakra to create space for expansion and vulnerability. This medicine can help you journey into states of higher awareness and connect you to your inner desires. \nThe Sound Bath: after the cacao we settle in for a deeply nurturing and nourishing sound bath. This can consist of any of the following:  tuning forks\, essential oils\, medicine drum\, crystal bowls\, chimes\, shakers\, crystals and harp. Reiki may also be included. \nAfter the sound bath the circle is closed and our guests have the opportunity to drift off home or to stay and share. Those who stay will be invited to journal\, chat and have a sleepy tea together to unpack the experience. \nThe full moon brings a natural conclusion to past cycles and it is a time to let go of that which no longer serves. \nThe Sound Temple is a no phone zone. Enjoy the connection with others without digital distractions. \nThere is a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs. DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Toi Tauranga Art Gallery\nWe are excited to announce the free annual ‘Claudia Jarman Memorial Lecture’ for 2026\, on Tue 29 Sep\, 5.30–7.30pm. With the generous support from the Claudia Jarman fund\, Claire Regnault presents ‘Fashioning the Modern Woman’. \nThis lecture is FREE but registrations are required. \nClaire Regnault is an award-winning author who specialises in the history of dress in Aotearoa New Zealand. She is particularly interested in what the history of dress can tell us about women’s lives\, both real and ideal. \nShe also happens to be the Exhibition and Programmes Manager at Tauranga Museum and an Honorary Research Associate at Te Papa\, where she worked as a senior curator in the History Department for fifteen years. \nClaire is currently working on a new research project with Lizzie Bisley\, Stephanie Gibson and Chanel Clarke on  ‘Fashioning the Modern Woman: 1920 to 1949’\, which explores the lives of women during this dynamic period through a combination of art\, design and dress. \nIn this illustrated talk she will give an overview of the project and then using the 1940 New Zealand Centennial Exhibition — which attracted a phenomenal audience of 2\,641\,043 people – as a springboard explore a range of modern women’s lives\, including that of  Mollie Rodie\, a journalist\, fashion illustrator and costume designer\, fashion promoter Ina Allan\, dare devil motorcyclists Pat ‘Crash’ Gamble and Moy Wong\, and Miriama Heketa\, a much admired dancer who was famously sculptured by Margaret Butler. \nClaudia Jarman (1908–1986) was a passionate art educator who inspired two generations of young people in Tauranga Moana to practise\, appreciate and\, as one former student recalled\, “to see” art and design. Teaching at Tauranga District High School and later Tauranga Girls’ College\, Claudia was also an active contributor to the city’s cultural life and a founding member of both the Tauranga Chamber Music Society and Tauranga Art Society. \nThe ‘Claudia Jarman Memorial Lecture’ was established by former student Patricia Brooks to honour Claudia’s significant contribution to her students and the arts in Tauranga. SUMMARY:Greenman Clay Mask Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nA Greenman is a sculpture found across many cultures around the globe\, throughout history. Often found outside in parks or formal gardens\, hanging on walls\, imbedded in religious architecture\, the Greenman is a face surrounded by or made from leaves with branches or vines sprouting from the nose or mouth. It is primarily interpreted as a symbol of rebirth representing the cycle of growth each spring. It also has pagan roots as a rebellious artform – during the Norman conquest of England\, natives of the land were forced to build Norman churches and the Greenmen that appeared on these churches were often caricatures of their conquerors. \nEvery participant will be able to achieve their own unique mask made from clay with guidance by master potter\, Nick Eggleston. They will be fired and ready to collect within 3 weeks of the workshop. \nNick is a long-time collaborator\, tutor and resident artist of The Incubator. He graduated from Chesterfield College of Art and Design and is a member of The Society of Designer Craftsmen. While he is world renown for his amazing water colours\, especially of English Bull Terriers\, he is an actually an artist of many disciplines.
