This hands-on interactive workshop will cover:
- Getting clear on your project
- Creating timelines to keep you on track
- Learning about resources and budgets
- Assembling the dream team, working with volunteers and stakeholders
- Being aware of risks and conflicts
- Understanding basic health and safety
NEWS: Window of WOW! Michelle Estall Art - 11 June - 22 June 2018
It's new window exhibition time again and this week we are incredibly fortunate to have the work of Michelle Estall on display at CBOP HQ. We are in awe of her artwork.
Colourful Tikis, stunning prints and original artwork grace our window and are available for sale. Michelle's work is also available for sale through Mac and Mor Art Gallery in Tauranga her Facebook page and website. A full time artist, Michelle's recent imagery depicts stories of her Maori ancestry which she was told in her childhood.

This scholarship has been set up to enable a young creative to undertake further study in the creative arts.
This annual award valued at $2,000 is for someone undertaking or about to commence further study in preparation for a career in the creative arts. Managed by the Creative Bay of Plenty on behalf of the Acorn Foundation, applications open 1 July and close 31 August each year.
OPPORTUNITY: The McCormick Opera Award
Perpetual Guardian Foundation has partnered with Auckland Opera Studio to run a major New Zealand Aria contest.
This annual competition is open to all young New Zealand singers aged 18-32. The 2018 winners prize will be a $20,000 scholarship to study offshore. There will be a further prize of $2,000 for an entrant who shows outstanding future potential.
The finals will be held at Auckland's Mercury Theatre on the evening of August 30 and tickets can be purchased on their website now.

WORKSHOP: International Youth Silent Film Festival Workshop

Under 20 & wanting to participate in the art of film making? This year as part of The International Youth Silent Film Festival we are offering workshops across the Bay in Whakatāne, Rotorua and Tauranga during the school holidays.
Industry professionals will guide you right through the film making process…you will collaborate through job sharing processes and together you will make a silent film. By the end of it students will be ready to create your own entry to the IYSFF NZ Regionals.
