Hui - Māori Arts Strategy
The team at Creative Bay Of Plenty (CBOP) attended the Hui at Whareroa Marae on Tuesday. Hosted by Creative New Zealand the Hui was part of a nation wide roadshow which sees the organisation take its first step in the development of a 'for Māori by Māori arts strategy.
The University of Waikato Study Options Fair
Friday 16 March was a fun and engaging day with year 13 students from schools around the region. Creative Bay Of Plenty (CBOP) was part of the Tauranga Study Options Fair which was held at Baycourt Theatre. This was an opportunity for students to learn about The University Of Waikato's new campus which is set to open in February 2019, the study programmes being offered and the student experience which will be unique to the Bay of Plenty. Faculty members along with local business leaders were present to help prospective students make real connections between qualifications and career opportunities in the Bay and beyond.

The celebration is also a recognition of the Race Relations Day on 21st March and this year the motto is: “Give nothing to racism".
