“We are pleased to announce that Creative Bay of Plenty is moving offices as of the 7th of December, heading just down the road to the new purpose-built co-working space, The Kollective, on 17th Ave.
Why are you moving?
Simply, so we can better serve our sector and streamline the way our organisation works. As a small team, that covers a region from Waihi Beach to Maketu (and everything in between!) it is vital that we are engaging with our sector in the most effective way possible. In 2019, expect to see us on the road more, hosting workshops in our new space and re-defining the way we conduct our peer to peer consultants. The future is bright.
All eyes and ears are on you. This year Creative Bay Of Plenty has been focused on our role as lead agent to deliver and support the Arts and Culture Strategy, Toi Moana, and our core mandate to Connect, Upskill, Support and Promote (CUSP) the arts and culture sector within the region.
We believe we will better deliver on initiatives by regularly meeting with the Creative Community face to face, allowing us to work with you, in your domain. This also means the team will work from hot-desks around the region, to ensure our services are more accessible to the community.
Why The Kollective?
The Kollective – nicknamed TK, is New Zealand's largest co-working space dedicated to the success of Not For Profit, Social Enterprise and Charitable Organisations. The premise of TK is collaboration, increasing efficiencies, technical capability, sustainability and connection. Creative Bay of Plenty, in this environment, will continue growing from strength to strength.
We are excited about the opportunities to collaborate and build stronger relationships with other non-profit organisations and funding partners at The Kollective. We will have the opportunity to share resources, ideas and knowledge with the purpose of facilitating an environment where arts and culture thrives in our community.
How can we meet with Creative Bay of Plenty?
We love having our regular friendly faces drop by. But we realise that sometimes we both don’t get the most out of these visits, due to competing demands.
So that we can make the best use of our time together, we will be moving towards an appointment based service, just like many other small community and non-for profit organisations.
This means we can be prepared with the resources/connections on hand to help you with your unique needs. In 2019, you will be able to directly book time with us through our website. Until then, the normal email and phone calls are the best way to get in touch and make an appointment.
We are never too far away.
What is happening with the community window space?
We are going to miss our window displays which change out every 2 week. We are however we are in the process of finding a new frontage for creatives which CBOP will continue to manage. We will keep you updated with the progress.
