Community Engagement Programme – Community Engagement Programme (formerly the Media Programme and Artists and Writers Programme) plays a crucial part in informing and influencing the public’s understanding towards the science and operations in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. Their aim is to support innovative Community Engagement proposals which align to Antarctica New Zealand’s purpose; Inspiring people to connect with Antarctica, through knowledge and collaboration and vision: Valued. Protected. Understood.
WILD CREATIONS – DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION & CREATIVE NZ
Wild Creations is a collaboration between DOC and Creative New Zealand that gives New Zealand artists the chance to be inspired by our unique natural and historic heritage.
Wild Creations offers a minimum of two artists the chance to experience Department of Conservation environments and/or programmes as inspiration for new art work.
THE NEW ZEALAND MENTAL HEALTH & MEDIA GRANTS
The New Zealand Mental Health Media Grants were first established in 2007 as a partnership between the Mental Health Foundation and the Like Minds, Like Mine Programme.
Previous projects have been successful in challenging people’s perceptions of the experience of mental distress and the journey to recovery by producing emotive and thought-provoking current affairs packages, plays, music, art exhibitions, magazine articles, documentaries and more.
