DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Tauranga City Council\nCalling all explorers! \nAre you ready for an adventure? \nNine local animals are hiding around Grey Street and they’re waiting for you to find them all! Grab a pencil\, print the activity sheet and set off on a fun family trail through the city centre. \nCan you spot a fluttering piwakawaka (fantail) or maybe a tiny pāpā (gecko) hiding nearby? Keep searching for all nine creatures:\nPāpā (gecko)\nPūtangitangi (paradise shelduck)\nPepe (pūriri moth)\nPiwakawaka (fantail)\nKārearea (NZ falcon)\nKatipō spider\nTāmure (snapper) Tipa (scallop)\nPāpaka (estuary crab)\nLook carefully on both sides of Grey Street\, including the city centre car park buildings. \nCheck the seats\, planters and shop windows – you never know where an animal might be hiding! Did you know every animal on the trail can be found in the wild around Tauranga? \nOnce you’ve finished the trail\, see if you can spot them again in nature. \nNOTE: This is an ongoing trail\, available any day and through the school holiday! \nYou can pick up activity sheets from Te Ao Mārama – Tauranga Library\, He Puna Manawa. \nFind out more
