DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nStep away from the everyday and into a world of coastal creativity. This hands-on workshop invites you to explore the art of decoupage using beautiful natural seashells collected from Papamoa Beach. Whether you come solo\, with a friend\, or as a family\, you’ll enjoy a relaxing and welcoming space where creativity flows freely. \nIn this 2-hour session\, each participant will create two unique Ocean Whisperers pieces to take home: \nA Decoupage Shell Pendant – a wearable keepsake inspired by the sea.\nA Decoupage Shell Dish – a charming little vessel for jewellery\, trinkets\, or special mementos. \nNo experience is needed—just a willingness to have fun and get creative! SUMMARY:Greenman Clay Mask Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nA Greenman is a sculpture found across many cultures around the globe\, throughout history. Often found outside in parks or formal gardens\, hanging on walls\, imbedded in religious architecture\, the Greenman is a face surrounded by or made from leaves with branches or vines sprouting from the nose or mouth. It is primarily interpreted as a symbol of rebirth representing the cycle of growth each spring. It also has pagan roots as a rebellious artform – during the Norman conquest of England\, natives of the land were forced to build Norman churches and the Greenmen that appeared on these churches were often caricatures of their conquerors. \nEvery participant will be able to achieve their own unique mask made from clay with guidance by master potter\, Nick Eggleston. They will be fired and ready to collect within 3 weeks of the workshop. \nNick is a long-time collaborator\, tutor and resident artist of The Incubator. SUMMARY:Afterschool Sew Love Club
DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nThis is your opportunity to learn to sew\, flex your creativity\, have some fun crafting and take home some special\, unique items and garments\, made by you! \nEach session we will have a special project to work on (patterns and fabrics included). If you’d like to work on a project that takes longer you can use these sessions for extra help on that journey. All sewing levels welcome! \nSarah Sew Love is a self proclaimed “hype girl for YOUR sustainable sewing journey”! She’s been sewing\, blogging\, gramming and teaching sewing for over 10 years through her sewcial enterprise Sew Love and she’s now calling Tauranga home. Sarah’s known for popping up workshops all over NZ; alongside markets\, conferences\, schools\, community houses & recycle centres to share her passion for sewing skills and sustainable living. “DIYing the reusables we need\, repairing the things we love\, embracing sewing slow and sewing together with others – it all makes our lives more special!” In recent years she’s mostly known for her sellout upcycled scrap bum bags and dancing around on instagram but hosting workshops is her homebase of happiness. Rest assured the energy is just the same in real life so come join one of her workshops this winter in our Social Fabric room. With big smiles and rainbow fabric scraps\, her workshops always provide a safe space and encouragement for everyone’s creativity and self expression through sewing. \nCheck out Sarah’s website – www.sewlove.nz \nFind out more

SUMMARY:The Feedback Lab
DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nSTOP MARKING YOUR OWN HOMEWORK! \nIt’s time to unlock your creative noncritical voice. \nIntroducing the Feedback Lab 2026/27 monthly sessions. \nThe Feedback Lab invites artists of many different disciplines and levels to connect\, explore\, and share information ideas and processes in a relaxed non-judgemental environment. \nLead by Carol Bisset\, the Feedback Lab provides a safe place in which to share fresh perspectives on your own and other artists work. Throughout the year there will be a select group of guest speakers who will introduce us to their unique journeys as practising artists. \n“I’m really pleased to hear the Feedback Lab might be returning. \nWhat made it different for me was the intentional focus on constructive dialogue. It created a space where artists could share work and receive considered feedback from fresh perspectives. That process encouraged deeper reflection and brought valuable analytical insight into my own practice. I especially appreciated the opportunity to connect with other artists in Tauranga Moana in a meaningful way; not just socially\, but through critical and creative exchange. \nCarol is an outstanding facilitator. She creates a respectful\, responsive environment where people feel safe to speak honestly. Her ability to guide discussion while allowing space for diverse viewpoints is a real strength. \nGrassroots\, inclusive initiatives like this are vital for sustaining a healthy and connected arts community. They make critical conversation accessible and strengthen relationships within the local creative sector. ” \n– Fiorella Silva Perez. \nFind out more
