DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nŌtūmoetai College is proud to present its Junior Art Exhibition\, featuring work by Year 9 and 10 students\, supported by The Incubator Creative Hub for the sixth-year running. \nWe believe it’s vital for students to have their work seen beyond the school gates – and The People’s Gallery Toi Ka Rere; offers the perfect public platform. Friends\, whānau\, and the wider community can easily access this remarkable mahi. \nThe students themselves take turns looking after the gallery in pairs over the weekends. In doing so\, they develop real-world skills – learning to talk confidently about their work\, engage with visitors\, and build self-awareness and entrepreneurial spirit. It’s an opportunity that goes far beyond the classroom. \nThe exhibition includes a range of drawings\, paintings\, and sculptures that showcase the creativity and skills of our young artists. Each piece reflects the students’ ideas and experiments with different materials and techniques throughout the year. \nWe hope you enjoy this collection and celebrate the creativity of our junior students. \nSponsored by Gate Pa New World\nThis exhibition launch preview is Friday 31st of July – 5.30pm at The Incubator Creative Hub\, The Historic Village\, 17th Ave\, Tauranga Licensed Bar onsite\, and everyone is welcome \nOn display in The Peoples Gallery Toi Ka Rere from the 1st of August to the 22nd of August\, 10am – 3pm. \nFind out more

DESCRIPTION:Presented by: The Incubator Creative Hub\nKeen for a dose of creative mindfulness? \n‘Bare Minimum’ Life Drawing Group with Damien Kurth. \nThird Wednesday of the month\, 6 – 8pm\, The People’s Gallery. \nSuitable for beginner artists through to advanced\, these relaxed monthly sessions provide a fabulous opportunity to hone your observational drawing skills. The session will be hosted by long standing Incubator collaborator and talented artist\, Damien Kurth. He will be there to offer demonstrations\, support\, hints\, challenges and feedback for those who want it. \nWe will provide basic drawing supplies and a live model. Bring a mate\, your favourite drawing materials and refreshments. See ya there! \n*Out for respect for the model and the life drawing process\, this is a closed workshop.
