A Festival of Flowers, Fine Art and Fun!

The Bay of Plenty Garden & Art Festival attracts visitors from around the nation (including the buzzy kind 🐝) to come and delight in our region’s gardens and the creativity of our artists. From 19 – 22 November, explore over 70 vibrant gardens full of colour and texture, and have the chance to chat to over 100 talented artists who will be displaying their craft throughout the gardens and galleries around Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty.

The garden trail stretches from Katikati all the way to Te Puke; choose a day-pass for a jam-packed adventure, or explore lavishly with a multi-day pass and rejoice in the boundless greenery. Adding to the creativity are the art stops along the path – sometimes you might come across an artist at work. Both local and national artists will be exhibiting their art along the way, and we’re thrilled to see so many familiar names! Wayne Vickers, Angela Maritz, Rhianna McCormick-Burns, Shane Walker, Rob McGregor, Isaac Weston, Nicola Welten, Lynne Sinclair Taylor, Emma Prill, Bethlehem Pottery Club, Sue MacDougall, Christie Cramer… the list goes on and on! What a plethora of creatives we are spoiled with in the Bay of Plenty; make sure you head out to support your local arts community at the Garden & Art Festival.

The fun doesn’t end there. The Festival Hub, Bloom in the Bay, will be at the Tauranga Racecourse each day, boasting local art, creative workshops, live music, food trucks, a kid’s zone, and more. Entry is free for Festival pass holders, and just $5 at the gate for everyone else! Create a foraged wreath with Emma from The Hawker’s Wall; watch artist Faye Chadburn create a flora and fauna mural; hear photographer Kim Westerskov talk about capturing the beauty of flowers and forests; or make your own seed bombs! These workshops and more can be found on the Festival website.

Creative Bay of Plenty will be on the trail, taking photos and drinking in the artistry. We can’t wait to see you there! Buy your tickets today.
