Tauranga based artist Nicol Sanders-O’Shea’s stunning flag project ‘Brave New World’ has just opened on Durham Street.
Head to Durham Street, look up and see ‘Brave New World’ by Tauranga artist Nicol Sanders-O’Shea. This series of 15 outdoor banners explore now familiar Covid-19 narratives and iconography.

Nicol Sanders-O’Shea received an MFA with first class honours from Elam School of Fine Arts in 1995. She is an award-winning screen-print specialist and the Academic Leader for Arts at Toi Ohomai. She has exhibited widely and her work is held in public and private collections across New Zealand.
This exhibition has been developed by Supercut Projects and is part of the Tauranga Arts Festival visual arts programme. Generously supported by Creative New Zealand and Tauranga City Council.
