Calling all choir directors, conductors, and music educators! Mount Maunganui choir All Together Now are looking for someone to take over the role of choir director.
All Together Now is a mixed-voice, all-comers’ choir that practise at Mount Bible Chapel, 2 Bedford Place, Mt Maunganui, on Wednesday evenings from 7:15pm – 9:15pm. The choir sings a mixture of styles of music: gospel, world, Māori, Pasifika, folk and pop arrangements, plus some of the more accessible classical choral music in the repertoire.
The role of choir director involves planning and taking weekly rehearsals, organising and conducting performances, using proven pedagogy to ensure your singers are reaching their potential, creating an enjoyable and easy-going environment, and occasionally traveling out of the region with the choir for extra-mural activities.
You will be a positive, open-minded and enthusiastic person, with experience in choral directing, conducting, and/or music education. You will report to the founder of All Together Now, Kate Bell, and support will be provided to you on a regular basis.
