Creative Communities Scheme open for Tauranga

If you have a great community arts and culture event in mind and need some financial support to realise your idea, the Creative Communities Scheme (CCS) may be able to assist you.

The CCS fund aims to increase participation from the local community in the arts sector, support the diversity of local cultural traditions, and encourage and engage young people to participate in local arts. ‘Arts’ is broadly defined to mean all forms of creative and interpretative expression.

The Creative Communities Scheme is a partnership between Creative New Zealand (the national arts development agency) and local councils in New Zealand. The scheme promotes community involvement, diversity and young people participating in the arts.

Creative New Zealand (CNZ) spends over $3.2 million each year supporting around 1,800 projects through the Creative Communities Scheme. Tauranga City Council administers the Creative Communities Fund for Tauranga.

Applications are open now and close 11:59pm, Sunday 20 November.

Please note, the application process for CCS Tauranga has changed and is now conducted via an online portal.
