Calling all fibre enthusiasts! If you’re passionate about spinning, weaving, knitting, felting, or anything related to fibre arts, then mark your calendars for the Bay of Plenty Creative Fibre 3rd Annual Retreat, happening from Friday afternoon, June 9th to Sunday, June 11th, 2023 at the picturesque Tui Ridge Park in Rotorua, New Zealand. This event promises to be a fun-filled weekend of creativity, learning, and community for fibre artists of all levels.
The retreat offers a wide range of activities to suit every fibre lover’s interests. From talks and presentations by experienced instructors to free classes covering various fibre techniques, there will be plenty of opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge.
You’ll have the chance to connect with fellow fibre enthusiasts and indulge in some much-needed Knit & Natter time. You’ll have ample opportunities to socialize, share ideas, and exchange tips and tricks with like-minded individuals who share your passion for fibre arts.
In addition to the organised activities, there will be plenty of time to work on your own projects, whether it’s finishing up those UFOs (UnFinished Objects) that have been sitting in your stash for too long or starting something new. And speaking of stash, the retreat will also feature traders offering a wide range of fibre-related products, so you can indulge in some guilt-free stash enhancement and take home some beautiful fibres and tools to inspire your future projects.
Accommodation options at the retreat include a range of cabins as well as space for motorhomes, allowing you to choose the type of lodging that suits your preferences. All accommodation packages include lunches and dinners, with breakfast being self-catering. Day attendees are also welcome, and lunches are included in the day package.
