South African songstress Belinda Davids is bringing her acclaimed Whitney Houston tribute show The Greatest Love of All starring Belinda Davids* to New Zealand this month for a national concert tour.
The show made its NZ debut back in 2016 to a small number of venues, and played a stand-alone performance in Auckland in 2018, but this year’s tour will be the production’s first NZ shows in five years, and its most extensive.
Running from 26 May to 16 June, the tour will stop at eleven venues including Bruce Mason Centre in Auckland and Wellington’s Opera House.
Since her last visit to New Zealand, marquee singer Belinda Davids’ star has continued to rise, making her mark on the international TV scene with appearances on Britain’s Got Talent, Steve Harvey’s Showtime at the Apollo, the BBC’s Even Better Than the Real Thing and, most recently, awarded the ‘Golden Buzzer’ in Europe’s Got Talent All Stars contest this month.
Despite her busy international touring schedule, Davids is looking forward to her return to New Zealand:
“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the crowds… I remember New Zealand audiences being so warm and friendly and appreciative so they’ve held a special place in my heart all these years.”
Davids will be accompanied by her international live band and backing vocalists plus glorious state-of-the-art sound, lighting, vision and theatrical FX, promising a memorable, fun and nostalgic evening of live music. All Whitney Houston’s greatest hits will be brought to life on stage, including Greatest Love of All, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, I Will Always Love You, I’m Every Woman, How Will I Know, Didn’t We Almost Have It All, I Have Nothing, Run to You and more.
Tickets for all venues are available now, including Baycourt Tauranga on 29 May 2023. Visit thegreatestloveofallshow.com for tickets and more information.
