Recliner City on Maunganui Road is offering artists a chance to exhibit original work in their showroom, offset by their range of furniture. Key details of this opportunity are as follows:
- On application, individual artists will be provided with an area in which to hang their work for a maximum term of six months.
- Recliner City will provide the hanging system and insure the artworks while on their premises.
- Artists will determine the price they wish to be paid for each artwork (artist remittance), to which Recliner City will add a commission no higher than 30% to cover costs.
- Recliner City will manage the sale of artworks and provide the artist with the remittance they have set.
- Once a piece has sold, the artist can replace it with another artwork.
The floor space is over 1350m2 and seven sections have been identified as suitable for displaying artwork, which needs to be appropriate for a family environment.
