The latest funding rounds for Creative Communities Scheme to support arts and culture in Tauranga and the Western Bay are now open and inviting applications.
Note applications for Tauranga are made via Tauranga City Council and for Western Bay district via Creative Bay of Plenty. Details are as follows:
Tauranga: Applications opened on Monday 5 February and close on Monday 4 March. Decisions will be advised after 27 March. Visit Tauranga City Council’s website to make an application online.
Western Bay District: Applications opened on Monday 5 February and close on Thursday 29 February at midday. Decisions will be advised after 20 March and projects cannot start before 10 April 2024. To apply, visit Creative Bay of Plenty’s website to access the application form. When complete, this should be emailed to annie@creativebop.org.nz.
Creative Bay of Plenty will be holding two free presentations to provide information to support funding applications and to answer questions, as follows:
Te Puke: 1pm, Thursday 15 February
Katikati: 1pm, Tuesday 20 February

Funded by Creative New Zealand, Creative Communities Scheme aims to increase participation from the local community in the arts sector, support the diversity of local cultural traditions and encourage and engage young people to participate in local arts. Applications are open to any individual or group, as long as you are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
