Font Public Art Trust aims to fundraise, commission, and gift a significant body of exceptional contemporary public artworks to Tauranga city centre over the next decade as they want to contribute to the imminent once-in-a-generation transformation of Tauranga city centre. The first public artwork is underway with an installation date of November 2024.
WHO FONT ARE LOOKING FOR/ YOU WILL HAVE:
- Excellent project management skills: overseeing projects from start to finish, managing scope, goals, timelines, resources, and risks with the ability to plan and deliver multiple projects at the same time.
- An excellent understanding of budgeting and forecasting to align project initiatives with financial goals.
- Knowledge of contracts and ability to make a project plan taking into account the Trust’s and artist’s contractual obligations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor these to a wide range of audiences.
- A track record of forming positive relationships. Proven experience in influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to think innovatively and strategically to generate creative and practical ideas and solutions for the projects.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptive to changing needs and project priorities.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, WordPress, Mailchimp and social media platforms.
In addition, you need to work closely with the trustees who will be actively engaged in the projects. Knowledge of or interest in public art is useful but not essential. This is not a curatorial position.
