Love public art? Looking for something fun to do over summer?
CITY ART WALK is a free-to-download app that shares stories about some of the great public art in Tauranga. Plus, it profiles cool places to eat, drink and visit.
It’s the perfect way to explore the city. Show out-of-town visitors some of the best street art in Aotearoa. Have fun with the family doing the free activities for kids. Or grab a friend and make a morning of it with coffee and lunch, visiting art galleries along the way.
Over an hour, learn about the artists that created the works including Mr. G, Whare Thompson, ASKEW One and Owen Dippie, along with the artworks themselves. Discover hidden pockets of the city, and new stories, many of which relate to Māori and social history of the region.
