We need your help to create the unique sound of the Bay!
What does the Bay of Plenty sound like? We’ll find out soon, with an exciting new creative project about to get underway.
Described as one of NZ’s most original musical thinkers, composer Warwick Blair is working on a project where he will turn photographic images of our region into a unique composition.
What we need from you is to submit a digital image that you think best sums up our environment. Each image will be reinterpreted into a sound using a computer programme, resulting in a unique abstract work of art which represents us. You can take a photo on your phone and the subject matter can be anything you like. The final creation will be on display in Tauranga’s city centre during April 2021.
The closing date for image submissions is Sunday 28 February.
