I’m drawn to storytelling and creating a narrative around my work. My practice includes original fine art, illustration and writing. At times the mediums I use and the subjects change, but behind everything I do sits an intention to be slow and present in all life’s spaces and places.
I explore slow living, memory, human connection, and our relationship with the world. The longer I’m alive, the more interested I become in how we carry our experiences and how they shape us. So whether my subject matter is landscape, a figure, or something seemingly mundane, consider my work a gentle nudge to remember that there is richness in ordinary, unglamorous, simple moments of our everyday lives.
In 2024 I was also part of a small, volunteer team of artists who brought the first BOP Open Studios art trail to life, connecting artists with local art lovers across the region. I’d love to do more to connect art and the community in creative and inclusive ways.
I balance my art practice with work and family life. There’s always compromise, but I’d rather show up imperfectly, messy and human than not at all.
