The Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre is a sought-after venue in Tauranga used to host many sporting and recreational events throughout the year.
This much-loved facility is a community staple in Tauranga Central. It is home to countless sports leagues, stage performances and local events that delight spectators year-round. Particularly popular for court hire, this is a premier sporting venue for all indoor codes. Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre (QEYC) neighbours the picturesque Memorial Park, making it the ideal location for events for the whole family.
Two full-sized courts make up the main indoor space, and there is an additional full-sized court located in Memorial Hall (within the QEYC building). The floors are marked for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton and roller derby, but plenty of less conventional sports such as pickleball and leisure marching also take place each week. If you can dream it, QEYC can do it! The grandstand seating caters for 850+ patrons and provides a fantastic view of the action for all spectators. Electronic scoreboards, court partitions and kitchen facilities give the venue unbeatable flexibility and functionality.
The large recessed stage is well used by theatre performances and music acts, and the space can be configured with a number of different seating options to suit. From exhibitions to single court hire, roller derby tournaments to Tumble Time – the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre is renowned for being a centrally located, multipurpose venue in Tauranga.
QEYC has hosted many local and national sporting events over the years and has a strong reputation as a sport and recreation venue in the Bay of Plenty.
