I’m Dominique Vogler, a Bay of Plenty-based freelance illustrator, animator and creative problem solver. I make some unique (and fun) illustrations and 2D animations.

I was born in Venezuela and travelled the world for several years until I arrived to New Zealand 10 years ago now! No surprise it is a beautiful place that I’m proud to call now my home.

I spent all my life dedicated to art: from a little kid I was always in painting classes, all the way to University where I graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. But then I realised that just painting on canvas wasn’t enough. Always passioned in movement I really wanted to learn how to bring my art to life! (literally). So I started to buy online courses and self-taught myself in 2D animation, frame-by-frame & motion graphics, using different softwares and mixed medias such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, Indesign), Blender and others.

From my small room/office in our humble home in Te Puke, I love to add an extra twist of playfulness to every project and idea that comes my way. I’m just in love with what I do!
