A ceramic exhibition of artwork by a select group of potters from The Pot House Gallery. Dorothy Armstrong, Alison Fitzgerald, Lindsey Butler, Anett Pilz and Bell Watts not only present a stunning range of pottery and ceramics; but also give you an insight into what different firings can achieve.
In order to make functional pottery, one’s clay must be fired. There are many ways to fire pottery, the most common way of firing for the contemporary potter is with electricity or with gas. All Fired Up will explain and display pottery fired using different techniques. Ever heard of an Obvara firing? No? Well – come and find out what it’s all about! There will also be examples of raku, wood firing, decals and lustres.
