The Feel Good Art Club is a space that focuses on art, community and support, and in a relaxed atmosphere, everyone’s artistic and creative sides can come alive.

As an individual who is enthusiastic and creative by nature, I have a deep love for all things arty, a strong passion for working with people and creating creative experiences where beginners can feel just as able as the experienced. I hold a Bachelor of Applied Visual Imaging – majoring in Design, and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching, as I am also an Art and Design teacher at Tauranga Boys College.

Nothing brings me more joy than being able to share my experiences and knowledge with others, and I whole-heartedly believe the world is a better place with more artwork, crafty projects and people launching into new creative hobbies with open arms.

The workshops, classes and courses range in different mediums and crafts, and they cater for all experience levels. All the materials are provided – you just need to turn up. It really is just as easy as that.

Personally, I don’t have a specific medium or craft that I specialise in. On one hand, this probably reflects my indecisive character but on the other, this highlights what The Feel Good Art Club is all about. It’s about meeting new people, potentially picking up a new hobby, and trying something new!!

Most of my workshops are run from my Mount Maunganui studio on Shadelands Lane (behind The Cruise Deck), but you can also find me at Master Kong once a month facilitating their Paint & Pour events. As well as public events, I offer private events too! These are all uniquely planned, where no two are the same and can cater for many different occasions. Whether you are thinking about booking a team event, a hens do, a birthday party or you just want something to do with your friends. Depending on what you are planning, we offer both guided and self-guided events.

If you are someone or run a business where you think that we could work together to create a community event, I am keen to chat more with you. Collaborations are a big part of my business and are always welcomed. Contact can be made via my website, email, Facebook or Instagram.

– Susanna.
