Bring the whole whānau down to the Festival Garden and sing ‘til your heart’s content at Tauranga Arts Festival’s big community singalong, Waiata Mai.

With the Tuatara Collective Choir at the helm and some very special local guest singers, this is a free event for the whole of Tauranga Moana, curated by Jason Te Mete (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi).

Overlooking the harbour, the air will be filled with waiata, including Tū Tira Mai Ngā Iwi, Ngā Iwi E, Poi E and He Putiputi Koe. We’ll provide the words, you just need to bring a blanket and organise your whānau and friends.
