Mads Harrop, a rising New Zealand singer‑songwriter known for her raw, punk‑tinged indie rock and deeply honest lyrics.
Mads has an incredible live act and has been prolific in The Dunedin scene supporting such acts as THe Chats, Darts and Reb Fountain. She broke into the Musical scene in 2020 with her timely hit “Contagious World”. She has steadily produced music while completing her Masters degree in Music in Otago. She is free now to tour and this is her first time in the North Island. Mads Family is originally from Tauranga, so she is very excited to perform here.
Mads Harrop is emerging as a bold, authentic voice in Aotearoa’s music scene. She blends gritty rock with vulnerable lyricism, and her open discussions of neurodiversity and disability add meaningful depth and advocacy to her artistry. Her DIY ethos—writing, producing, and performing her work—makes each track feel intensely personal.
