Free Adult Community Education Courses at Toi Ohomai | Design and Make a Custom Kimono Style Jacket

Apr 22 - Jun 10

Presented by: Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology, Windermere Campus

In this hands-on course, students design and create a custom kimono-style jacket using repurposed garments or fabric offcuts. Through patchworking, colour coordination and handcraft, participants transform discarded textiles into a unique wearable piece. Students also gain experience using industrial sewing machines while learning construction and pattern terminology, industry techniques, and basic machine maintenance.

Note: This course requires students to supply their own discarded clothing, preloved fabric, or fabric offcuts.

Wednesday Nights at Windermere Campus, 22 April – 10 June, 4.30 to 8.30pm.

Limited places – Apply Now.
