I’m Jennie Holdsworth, a mixed media artist based at The Incubator Creative Hub at the Historic Village in Tauranga. I also relief teach across various local schools in Tauranga.

My work centres on domestic interiors, chairs, vessels, and lamps. I’ve always been a maker across many forms, and returned to painting seriously in 2025. My practice is rooted in gezellig, a Dutch concept for the warmth of shared domestic moments. Years spent working in the disability and not-for-profit sectors continue to shape how I think about creativity, access, and the quiet power of losing yourself in exploration and imperfection.

I hold a BFA from Elam School of Fine Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching. My first solo exhibition, Just Bring Yourselves, opens 31 July 2026 at The Incubator Gallery, Tauranga.
