Original Art Expo and Jensen Supreme Art Award 2026

The Tauranga Society of Artists is proud to announce its upcoming Original Art Expo and Jensen Supreme Art Award, taking place from Thursday 1 October to Sunday 4 October 2026. Held at the Tauranga Boys’ College Gymnasium, this highly anticipated event will showcase an impressive collection of over 500 original artworks, affirming its status as the largest art expo in the Bay of Plenty.
This is also the biggest event on the Tauranga Society of Artists’ annual calendar, where 30 Society members are shortlisted for the Jensen Supreme Art Award. Come along and see if you agree with the judges!
With a membership exceeding 350 artists, the Tauranga Society of Artists is the region’s largest collective of creatives. This year’s Expo promises a vibrant display of art across a range of genres and mediums. Art enthusiasts and collectors alike are invited to celebrate incredible creativity, chat with the artists, enjoy live art demonstrations and perhaps add to their art collections.

Event Highlights
– Jensen Supreme Art Award – View the shortlisted finalists and winning artworks.
– People’s Choice Award – Sponsored by Gordon Harris – The Art & Graphic Store. Visitors can vote for their favourite artwork and go in the draw to win an original piece of art.
– Cards & Fine Art Prints – Selected participating artists will have cards and fine art prints available for purchase.
– Guest Exhibitor – Tauranga Floral Art joins the Expo, adding an exciting dimension with their exquisite floral displays.
– Art in Action – Watch artists demonstrate techniques in oils, acrylics, watercolours, pastels and more. Meet the artists, ask questions and see artworks come to life.
