100 Vases – Group Ceramic Exhibition

We are proud to invite you to a special exhibition celebrating the art of the vase, brought to you by Aotearoa’s most talented local potters, along with guest potter Duncan Shearer; Let’s fill the gallery with colour.
From holding a single, treasured bloom from the garden to being the centrepiece on the dining table, the vase is such an essential part of our daily lives. It’s a silent witness to our milestones; congratulations, apologies, and moments of quiet remembrance.
In the ceramic world, the vase is a universal shape, a true test of a potter’s skill. Its form is at once ancient and endlessly contemporary. It’s a canvas for glazes, a sculpture for the home, and a perfect marriage of function and art.
Along with Guest Potter Duncan Shearer we will be showcasing how our local makers interpret this iconic form. Discover everything from classic, elegant designs to bold, modern statements; each one unique.
Sponsored by Gate Pa New World this exhibition launch preview is Friday 24th of October at 5.30pm at the Incubator Creative Hub in The Tauranga Historic Village. Licensed Bar and Everyone is welcome.
On display at The Pot House Gallery and Studios from 25th October to the 23rd of November.
