🎨 THE INCUBATOR GALLERY: Emancipation by Fiorella Silva Pérez
Experience a powerful mixed-media exhibition where discarded materials are transformed into striking works of art. Exploring themes of migration, renewal, and resilience, artist Fiorella Silva Pérez (formerly of Uruguay, now based in Mount Maunganui) melts plastic and beach debris onto reused canvases, creating layered surfaces that speak to both damage and hope.Sponsored by Gate Pa New World.
🧶 THE PEOPLE’S GALLERY: Beanie Extravaganza in collaboration with Ninja Knits
Prepare for a riot of colour and creativity! Local artists, knitters, crocheters, and weavers have let their imaginations run wild. From Greenie Beanies to Funky Junkie and Flight of Fancy, this display is pure fun. Many creations are available to purchase. (Want to join the fun? There’s still time to submit a beanie!)
