This workshop is an intermediate level painting and collage course focusing on developing colour understandings, with specific provision for the disabled and neurodiverse community.
The first day will focus on building the core group dynamic, with accommodation for the neurodivergent and disabled. The aim is to build a suitable learning environment and explore colour theory using collage, oil pastels and paint. The following four days will expand on the first day with the goal of leaving participants with a greater understanding of the technical and aesthetic use of colour. The course will conclude with an exhibition of their shared journey.
The course is open to anyone, 16 years and over, who are already embarked on their own painting journey and wish to deepen their understanding of colour mixing, planning and composition. The Jam factory has been selected as a secluded and easy access venue suitable for neurodiverse and otherly-abled participants.
The course will supply readily available quality materials so that students can continue their own explorations with confidence. All they need to bring is two ice-cream containers. Students are welcome to bring their own brushes, if they wish. All other materials are supplied.
