Fractured – adjective – cracked, split, broken and unable to function or exist.
Flawed – adjective – having or characterised by a fundamental weakness or imperfection.
In a world where the strive for perfection is the perceived ‘normal’, this collection of works reflects on the beauty and simplicity that can be found in the ‘fractured and flawed’. As the old adage goes, “perfection is in the eye of the beholder”.
Susanne works from her studio in Whakatane, Bay of Plenty, in a diverse range of both two and three-dimensional mediums. Her past works have been included in solo and joint exhibitions and selected as a finalist in numerous art awards, including the 2020 Molly Morpeth Canaday Art Award – 3D.
