Step into The Light Lab for an immersive, hands-on lighting workshop designed to take your photography to the next level. This masterclass explores the creative power and technical control of both constant and strobe lighting — giving you the confidence to shape light with purpose. Whether you’re shooting portraits, products, or editorial work, you’ll gain the tools to create impactful, professional images in any environment.

What you’ll learn:
The core differences between constant and strobe lighting
How to control light direction, quality, and intensity
Mixing light sources and balancing ambient light
Real-world lighting setups with live models
How to work fast, creatively, and with intent

Where: The Light Lab — a purpose-built studio space designed for experimentation, education, and creativity.

Who It’s For: Photographers with a working knowledge of camera settings who want to refine their lighting skills and elevate their visual storytelling.

Each session is limited to a maximum of six students, allowing for plenty of individual guidance and practical experience. Lunch, tea and coffee are provided.

Nic is a professional photographer, a sculptor & arts educator with more than 25 years in Creative Industries. With a multi-disciplinary approach to his arts practice, he has the skills and experience as well as energy to pass these on through thoughtful and encouraging tutelage in a friendly environment.
