MAKUTA is Doug, Aleata, and Rose Makuta, an American cinematic rock band out of New York.
Their forthcoming album will be released in 2025, supported by extensive touring — both domestically and internationally (including a headlining date at the world-renowned Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland). They write, play, produce, and engineer everything (from cello, harp, violin, to piano, bass, guitar, drums, etc.), and have toured extensively, including shared dates with Timbaland, Hall and Oates, The Band Perry, and many others.
Their songs have been featured on Wells Fargo, CBS, Ducati, Fox, Zumba, and more. They have also collaborated, and written for/with fellow artist friends, including Janis Ian, Timbaland, Ron Carter, Ab-Liva, Civil Twilight, Paul Meany (of MuteMath), Hunter Hayes, and others.
