Ocean Whisperers – Decoupage Workshop

Step away from the everyday and into a world of coastal creativity. This hands-on workshop invites you to explore the art of decoupage using beautiful natural seashells collected from Papamoa Beach. Whether you come solo, with a friend, or as a family, you’ll enjoy a relaxing and welcoming space where creativity flows freely.
In this 2-hour session, each participant will create two unique Ocean Whisperers pieces to take home:
A Decoupage Shell Pendant – a wearable keepsake inspired by the sea.
A Decoupage Shell Dish – a charming little vessel for jewellery, trinkets, or special mementos.
No experience is needed—just a willingness to have fun and get creative! The workshop is designed to encourage self-expression, connection with nature, and a sense of accomplishment in a warm and supportive environment. While it’s a wonderful activity for parents and children to enjoy side-by-side, it’s equally suited for anyone looking for a calming creative outlet. Teens, couples, friends, and individuals are all welcome.
Monica is a member of The Incubator’s Artist Window Gallery collective of artists and has artwork for sale in the gallery – “My love for nature has inspired me to create these jewellery trays using decoupage on natural seashells washed ashore on local beaches.” Her workshop has been designed for small groups of people who would like to experience a relaxing time while letting their artistic side take over. This is a great activity for a group of friends or team building.
