Local artist Cordula Taiwo brings her hit exhibition, Of a Wild God, to Tauranga this Easter (4–12 April). After a debut in Wellington that saw 500 visitors in just 10 hours, this pop-up event at 117 Willow Street offers a profound exploration of faith, hope, and art.
While the 15 paintings focus on the journey of Nick Cave, the experience is a broader celebration of musical solace. Accompanying voice recordings of Cordula’s letters feature a diverse range of influences, from Nina Simone and Leonard Cohen to Pavarotti and the Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Where: 117 Willow Street, Tauranga.
When: 4 – 12 April 2026 (Daily, 10 AM – 2 PM).
What: A unique blend of visual art and audio reflection.
Cordula’s work moves beyond simple portraiture, creating a “communal confessional” space that resonates deeply with anyone who has found healing through music.
