Come and learn how to create a realistic portrait in pencil from any angle and understand and develop the skills of building believable form. Be inspired by the stunning surrounds of Helen’s own exhibition, Uncharted Waters.
Perfect for complete beginners or simply improving your portraiture. Under 18s must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Helen English is a UK-born portrait and wildlife artist working in pencil, acrylics, and oil. After an international career in post-production and earning a teaching degree, she settled in Aotearoa, where she finally built a home studio and committed to a regular art practice. She holds a Master of Visual Arts Education from the University of Waikato and has trained with the Milan Art Institute, blending classical techniques with contemporary vision.
