I am Margaret Russell, the Area Delegate for Bay of Plenty. I am the link between our Area groups and our National organization.

We consist of local clubs of very passionate fibre crafters who are always looking for new members to come along to learn our skills.

Our members are very friendly and just love to be able to share their knowledge with others to carry on our traditions for future generations.
Many lifelong friendships have come from our groups and the companionship gained is thought to be very special by our members.

Our clubs meet each week in their various venues and they have access to their club fibre libraries and all the equipment necessary for their craft.

We hold Exhibitions, Club Events, Fun Days, Trader Days, a Weekend Retreat and a Wool Gathering Day to learn together with like minded folk.

We have our National magazine which is issued four times per year to all our members showing the inspiring craft work done throughout.

Some of our groups hold evening meetings as well so day time workers can come and join in.

Although we work out of Tauranga we do have clubs in Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Pahoia, Te Puke, Whakatane, Ohiwa and Rotorua.

We work with cottons, silks, raw wool, commercial wool, spun wool, rolags, batts, also weaving looms, wool carders and spinning wheels.
We have knitting and crochet groups meeting regularly teaching beginners and intermediates.  Also we show how to follow patterns and charts.
