Katikati Concert Band is a community band that has been in existence in one form or another for 125 years. We believe it is the only community concert band in the Bay of Plenty. We rehearse every week on a Thursday evening in excellent facilities at Katikati Bowls Club.

Under the baton of our musical director, Hiro Kobayashi, we enjoy performing a wide range of music from concert band standards to film and pop music, with local concerts throughout the year and an annual trip to the Matamata Festival. We play at local ANZAC Day services and several Christmas functions.

We welcome musicians of all ages and abilities and have a current age range from 15-79, with a growing membership of 30+ players. We aim to provide a supportive environment to all our members especially encouraging players who are getting back into playing after a long break from their instrument or mastering a new instrument.
